Donald Trump is about to visit Britain and Scotland. The people are fighting back across multiple fronts, and their plans are far more ambitious than you can imagine.
It’s safe to say that Trump has many haters, not just in the US, but across the world, even in Western countries that are our allies. Let’s talk about it.
In an unexpected twist, U.K. Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer is planning to honor Trump in September on his second visit to the country, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle. Trump is expected to visit Scotland between July 25 and 29 and is attending private meetings with both Starmer and Scottish First Minister John Swinney.
To start the protests, a picture of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein has been placed near the U.S. Embassy in London.
The political group @ everyonehateselon_ on Instagram posted the video of the installation with the caption, “It would be a real shame for Donald if this photo of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein appeared EVERYWHERE on his tour of the UK.”
They’re currently taking donations to set up these posters nationwide (in the UK). If you’d like to donate to their poster campaign, you can find the link HERE.
The Stop Trump Coalition has also announced protests in both Aberdeen and the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, for Saturday, July 26th. Coalition member Tommy Campbell also said that the group has plans to “lay out an unwelcoming message on the coastline for Trump” when he arrives in Aberdeen.
The Scottish police are increasing their preparations in anticipation of the protests.
The Stop Trump Coalition has also planned an organized march for September 17, in tandem with Trump’s visit to London. Windsor Castle is about 25 miles away from London, but it is anticipated that he may visit the capital as well. Protests are slated to start at 5 p.m. local time.
In addition to everything listed above, students across the U.K. are set to walk out of their classes nationwide in protest of his visit. This is primarily intended for University and college students, but I wouldn’t be surprised if high school students also joined.
To give you an idea of the scale, during Trump’s last visit (2019), an estimated 250,000 people participated in the protest.
The Stop Trump Coalition group is predicting an even larger turnout this September.
Trump’s upcoming visit to the UK is not going to be smooth. From student walkouts and viral poster campaigns to mass protests and symbolic acts of defiance, the British public is making it clear: they’re ready to fight back.
What makes this moment significant isn’t just the scale of the protests, but the breadth. Students, activists, everyday citizens, and seasoned political groups are joining forces across cities and borders to send a unified message… Trump is not welcome.
Whether or not Trump listens is a whole other conversation… but the people are making sure he hears them.
This is fantastic!!! We should do this all over America! He’d go crazy when every time he turned around, he saw a billboard or a sign or a protest! Thank you, UK!! We love your support!
I love that this is happen. I wish we would do more of this type of action here.
