I knew when Claudia Sheinbaum was elected she was going to make waves of changes, both domestically and internationally. Boy is she doing just that.
President Shienbaum has been standing tall against Trump and THIS is my previous article on her work doing just that.

One of the best ways to combat the Trump administration is through lawsuits and the legal system, even though the Supreme Court tends to side with him as they have a conservative majority.
Shienbaum is aware of that, and she’s about to raise hell. Let’s talk about her next moves standing up against Trump.
Mexican farm worker Jaime Alanis Garcia, died after reportedly falling 30 feet from a greenhouse roof during an ICE raid at Glass House Farms in Camarillo, California. He was 56-years-old, and this happened on July 12, 2025.

Soon after, Shienbaum stated at her daily morning address to the nation that her administration is exploring a lawsuit. At the same time, Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is so providing legal and diplomatic support to Garcia’s family.
The raid initially happened on July 10, 2025 and it was at cannabis farms in Camarillo and Carpinteria (southern California). The National Gaurd entered in with military vehicles and arrested 319 employees at the farm. Garcia, who was a 10-year employee at the farm, suffered from a broken neck, fracture skull a severed artery after he fell. He was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center and placed on life support until his family decided to collectively remove him from life support.
His body will be returned to Hujúmbaro, Michaocán, where his wife and daughter live. Garcia was just one of eight people who was hospitalized after the chaotic raid, where protests were also taking place at.
Shienbaum said this at a news conference:
"The possibility of denouncing there is being seen because unacceptable. … There cannot be another case like these, and that is why the complaint has to be filed in the courts there."
The lawsuit hasn’t been filed *yet* but this is another point of tension increase between Mexico and America as Trump has threatened Mexico with 30% tariffs.
With rising tensions and renewed aggression from the Trump administration, President Shienbaum has once again shown that she is not afraid to challenge injustice head-on.
The tragic death of Jaime Alanis Garcia is not just an isolated incident; it’s a symbol of the devastating human cost of militarized immigration enforcement.
By promising to pursue legal action and standing firmly with Garcia’s family, Shienbaum is making it clear that Mexico will not remain silent when its citizens are harmed.
As diplomatic pressure builds and legal pathways are explored, this moment marks yet another step in Shienbaum’s larger campaign to hold the Trump administration accountable.
The road ahead may be tough, but one thing is certain: she’s not backing down.
What an AMAZING woman! I hope she is able to sue ICE out of existence! 💙❤️💙
I adore her courage!!!
