Chuck Schumer has successfully pissed off so many people that the liberals and centrists are banding together to get AOC to primary him. Liberals working together to hold the Democrats accountable, a sight I thought I’d never see.
Many of my content creator mutuals and I urged our followers to call their senators to stop this bill, and many did. Their voicemails were getting blown up. Instead of listening to the constituents and the majority of federal workers who are in support of a federal shutdown, Chuck Schumer tweets this:
If you can’t tell from the comment to like ratio of the tweet above, on how angry liberals and democrats of all backgrounds are with him, Donald Trump took to Truthsocial to praise Chuck Schumer, which didn’t help his case at all:
Alas just as usual, some Democrats ALIGNED with Republicans (again) and helped keep the government open! This time it was nine, with a 9-52 vote:
These are the democrats who joined their republican coworkers to pass the budget bill:
Anyone who dared to protest this bill at Schumer’s office got immediate handcuffs from police.
The bill includes $13 billion in cuts to nondefense spending and a $6 billion increase in defense funding, allowing Trump’s administration more flexibility to fund its endeavors, including additional money for ICE directly.
It will also force the district of D.C. to cut about $1 billion from its local budget, including police pay, schools, and other essential services, over the next six months. Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky was the only republican senator to oppose it.
Per CNN, this bill will additionally:
… reduce support for the rural broadband Community Connect program by $30 million, cut nearly $800 million from Veterans Affairs facility construction, eliminate up to $40 million in election security grant funding and trim assistance to farmers to improve their lands and participate in conservation activities by $30 million, according to the Democratic appropriations leaders.
The bill will not provide additional funds for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s disaster relief fund, which will likely need more funding by the end of the year. It will also reduce funding for the Department of Health and Human Services divisions that run health centers and programs for mental health, substance abuse, and other mental health issues in areas that need it. Money will also be cut for children, family, and aging and disability programs.
Do we hang up our towels and call it quits since democrats have the spine of a 3-month-old baby? No of course not! Please mark your calendars and go to Schumer’s stupid book tour and show him how you feel:
In the face of a deeply disappointing decision from Chuck Schumer, it’s clear that the fight for real progress and accountability within the Democratic Party is far from over.
While it may feel like the system is rigged against us, we can’t afford to give up. Now is the time to channel our anger into action—whether that means showing up at Schumer’s book tour or continuing to push for better representation in Congress.
This isn’t just about one bill or one senator; it’s about holding all our elected officials accountable for their choices and ensuring that the people's voices are heard. If we don’t fight for change, who will? The time for complacency is over.
Take this weekend to unplug and do what makes you happy. For me, that means eating comfort food, hiking, and watching brain-numbing TV. Once the weekend is over, we will be back to our grind.
Keep organizing, keep protesting, and don’t back down until we see the progress this country desperately needs.
He also fully supports the genocide of Gaza. These things are not unrelated. Schumer, Biden, and every Dem who can’t spend enough of our money fast enough for fascism in Israel led us here. And of course he knocked down the final hurdle. Thanks for putting your voice and reporting out there. ✊🏼
I support AOC or Jasmine Crockett! I believe AOC is young and definitely is connected with the general population. Jasmine is connected but has bite.
