In neighborhoods across the country, a new form of immigration enforcement is quietly unfolding, not just against undocumented people, but against the citizens who try to document what feds are doing
Between this and the Supreme Court making it ok to profile people for the color of their skin, or their accent, I don’t know how anyone can’t see what this actually is!!!
Just because people stick their fingers in their ears, close their eyes and scream “I can’t hear You,” does not absolve, or make them less complicit!!
My question has always been—-where does legitimacy come from?
A Supreme Court ruling only matters if people comply. A dollar only has value because we collectively agree it does. Remove the agreement, and the paper becomes worthless, the ruling becomes words on a page.
Power isn’t inherent. It’s granted. And it can be revoked.
If a majority of people said Supreme Court decisions are illegitimate and refused to comply, what enforcement mechanism actually exists?
If people collectively decided a currency has no value, it becomes worthless paper overnight.
If citizens stop recognizing an institution’s authority, that authority evaporates.
This isn’t theoretical. It’s how every system actually functions.
Legitimacy is a collective fiction we maintain…and when we stop maintaining it, the fiction collapses.
When institutions behave in ways fundamentally antithetical to the society we want to build, when they concentrate power rather than distribute it, when they protect the powerful rather than the vulnerable, the question isn’t “how do we reform them?”
The question is: why are we still granting them legitimacy?
Systems that optimize for suffering, that enable injustice, that exist to maintain hierarchies we never agreed to; they persist only because we continue agreeing they should.
The moment we collectively withdraw that agreement, they have no power.
Value comes from consensus. Authority comes from consent.
The question isn’t whether we can withdraw legitimacy. We can. We always could.
The question is: what are we waiting for?
Like all I wanted was to have a job and live in peace with someone. If people told me I'd be in permanent survival mode when I'm an adult I'd be calling them a damn liar.
ICE agents created a rule. Please! They are very wrong. ICE agents will not win. The agents and CBP will go back to the borders and focus on the borders. That is where they work. They need to focus on national security and the dangerous criminals. ICE agents and CBP need to get out of the states.
And you should still do it, follow them, record them. Observe. This is the same federal government who can't even seat US Attorneys legally and I will not be intimidated out of my constitutional rights.
I think people might want to consider how sheriffing "proximity" is becoming more ubiquitous.
The reports of the use of Stingray tech in the Republican war on American cities, has even led to the Minnesota AG warning people to protect their digital privacy from DHS surveillance.
The idea of fighting back against trained, armed and masked paramilitary, who switch their plates and never give personal Identification, with a cell phone and whistle, just so that neighbors with eyes can see, and those with ears can hear, should make people understand what Republican Party, and conservative hypocrites have done with the control of our government.

Welp.2026 sure isn't going to be filled with any boring days. Can we just have the apocalypse happen and be done with it.
Man....

Thank you so much for your work.

Any time you get charged with a crime in that country, just leave. If you still have your passport, leave that country.
It will destroy your life to deal with that archaic, authoritarian legal system built on slavery.
It’s a farce of a system and you can’t win. You will go bankrupt from lawyer’s bills and it will cripple you.
Leaving is your only way to freedom.
